the blind

From 'the blind', an installation by antony gormley. Interesting stuff w/ scrim and lighting.

This is really cool. I went to this really cool cinema exhibit at the Hirshhorn today that had this one installation by Douglas Gordon that reminded me of this.

I can't find photos of it online, but it's called "Off Stage" and it was this thin bright red curtain hung up and illuminated from the back. Every so often it would curve and wave back and forth and it seemed like it was just up against a wall. As you continue through the exhibit you come out on the other side of the curtain and can see the silhouettes of people looking at it from the other side.

Anyway, both of these have me thinking about different things: invisibility, blindness(duh), obstacles between people that can see/sense each other,...... I don't know

Yeah, the more we do with this I keep thinking of the invisible trying to be seen, or others trying to make the invisible/unknown apparent.
